Experimentation and Photomontage in European and Latin American Photography
Our project at Paris Photo New York will highlight fine examples of Russian avant-garde photography (1920s-1930s) and Argentinian modernist photography (1930s-1950s), including works by Aleksandr Rodchenko, Boris Ignatovich, Arkady Shaikhet, Grete Stern, Annemarie Heinrich, and Sameer Makarius. We also plan to feature influences of the avant-garde period in photomontages by Alexey Titarenko, as well as experimental works by Facundo de Zuviria, Vladimir Sersa, and Albarran Cabrera.
