Paris Photo New York 2020, Edwynn Houk Gallery will present an exhibition of rare vintage photographs by masters of the Modernist movement, alongside a selection of complementary works by leading contemporary photographers in an effort to create a dialogue between the eras. Through this juxtaposition of historical and contemporary photographs, Edwynn Houk Gallery aims to present a framework in which to discern, appreciate, and understand each artist’s individual and distinctive contribution to the field of photography. Featured artists will include Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Weston, August Sander, Vik Muniz, Sally Mann, Valérie Belin, Abelardo Morell, David Maisel, Matthew Pillsbury, and others.
