Vince Aletti is a critic and curator based in New York and a regular contributor to Photograph, Aperture, Artforum, and Italian Vogue. He was the art editor at the photography critic at the Village Voice from 1990 to 2005, the year he won the International Center of Photography's Infinity Award in Writing. From 2005 to 2016, he wrote photography exhibition reviews for The New Yorker's Goings on About Town section. In 2009, he co-curated ICP's "Year of Fashion," including that year's centerpiece show, "Avedon Fashion 1944-2000." His most recent book, "Issues: A History of Photography in Fashion Magazines," was published by Phaidon in 2019.
