After a successful career as a graphic designer and art director in New York and California, Richard founded Richard Moore Photographs in 2000 in Oakland, California. As a private dealer of 19th and 20th century photographs, Richard has established himself as a leading specialist in the work of Dorothea Lange and American social documentary work, such as the Farm Security Administration. He works extensively with international clients, museums and libraries in building and broadening collections.
Richard joined the board of directors of The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) in 2011 and has served as President since August, 2017. He was instrumental in realising the collaboration with Reed Expositions France to establish Paris Photo New York Presented with AIPAD.
